(P. Warmerdam 03) Medium-sized, 18” high x 24” wide. Thick, very blue leaves with bright-white margins. A lovely sport of H. ‘Halcyon'. Lavender flower. |

Eleanor Lachman' |
(Bill & Eleanor Lachman 1995) Small. A small, rounded leaf, with creamy white centre and wide, dark green margins. Named for hybridizer Eleanor Lachman who needs no introduction in the Hosta World. Substance is above average and medium lavender flowers come in July. Has proven to be a very slow grower and needs a fair amount of light but not hot afternoon sun or "melting out" may occur. |

(Skaggs) Extra-Large Sized!! This seedling from h. ‘Big John’ is one big hosta!! From Brian & Virginia Skaggs of FOoSF fame, this hosta has huge dark green leaves that have deeply impressed veins and incredible substance. In 5 or 6 years a mature clump can reach 4 1/2’ tall. Topped with pale lavender flowers on 5’ scapes in midsummer. This is truly a magnificent specimen for any garden. Empress Wu was named in honour of arguable the most powerful woman in world history. (Walters Gardens 04) Large-sized. 22” high x 26” wide. Sport of ‘Northern Exposure’. Puckered blue green leaves emerge with yellow centres and chartreuse streaks. Gradually, the centres fade to cream and the streaking changes to a light apple green. White flowers. |
