‘Empress Wu’ PP20774 CPBRAF

(Skaggs)    Extra-Large Sized!!   This seedling from h. ‘Big John’ is one big hosta!!  From Brian & Virginia Skaggs of FOoSF fame, this hosta has huge dark green leaves that have deeply impressed veins and incredible substance.  In 5 or 6 years a mature clump can reach 4 1/2’ tall. Topped with pale lavender flowers on 5’ scapes in midsummer.  This is truly a magnificent specimen for any garden.   Empress Wu was named in honour of arguable the most powerful woman in world history.  She was the only female emperor ever in China!
