‘War Paint’

(Naylor Creek Nursery) Medium-Large sized.   Large pointed and pie-crusted leaves emerge in spring with a clear, bright butter-yellow centre framed by a dark green border. Yellow centre holds for a few weeks and then begins to darken…the process is not even and some portions turn chartreuse and others pale green. By mid June the centre fades to pale green and the show is over for the season.  Topped with pale violet flowers late in the spring. Good substance and very vigorous.

Fabulous spring show on this hosta!

'Wheee!' PPAF

(Bill Meyers) Extremely ruffled, cream colored margins extend from the tip of each green leaf all the way down the petiole to the crown.  This ruffled margin is evident even in the juvenile stage of the plant before vernalization.  The leaves of this medium sized hosta are of excellent substance, making them slug resistant in the landscape. Light lavender flowers appear atop purple scapes in midsummer.

This is a Proven Winners Plant.
